Well, I have made an executive decision!  In my madness to join the TpT movement I have totally overwhelmed myself!  I have decided as of five minutes ago, to focus on building my store and focus on Pinterest and Facebook as my outreach.  I will resume my blog in the future.

Until then, please LIKE me on Facebook:  www.facebook.com/DayleySupplements

Pinterest Anyone?

I am slowly revving my engine on this Teachers Pay Teachers thing and I am determined to make it work.  I re-discovered Pinterest yesterday.  In the past, I have scrolled up and down the oodles and oodles of pages of cool stuff, but now I actually have a log in, boards, pins, and the works.  Today, I was even invited to post on a community board.  Exciting!  I am hoping that while you are here at my blog, you could leave me a comment.  Let me know what you experience has been with Pinterest.  If you have any tips, leave those, too!

Lots of New Items!

Hello Everyone!  I am so excited about these new items I have on Teachers Pay Teachers.  I hope you like them.

This FlySwatter Game is a riot.  I have seen several fly swatters break because of it, but the students are always having a good time.

The activity called "A Closer Look at Your Book"  IS FREE!  It helps students of all ages analyze their reading material through new eyes.  The interact and engage with characters in a way that most book reports don't address.  I like to print 4 per page and put a ring in the corner to make it easy for students to flip through their options.

This K-W-L Reading Skills Combo Packet has everything you need, NO MATTER WHAT GRADE OR SUBJECT YOU TEACH, to help students read and comprehend their text.  They can identify what they KNOW, what they WANT to know, and at the end, what they have LEARNED.

20% Off Sale!

Hey Everyone!
I am having a sale!  I can't wait to share these supplements with you.
The sale goes February 7-9!
Don't miss out.
Visit my TpT store to see my fun teaching supplements.

February Buzzer Packet

These are lifesavers.  I love having my student on task as soon as they come into class, almost as much as I love to see them write.  This is a perfect mix.  Buzzers work just like journals or bell work, but with my own twist.  All of the details are in my TpT description, so I won't repeat, but I will show you some of the pages.  Check back for Buzzers for every month, coming soon!

Super Bowl Advertising Strategies Mini Unit

This mini unit is a fabulous way to wrap up football season!  Teach your students to be savvy consumers by being ware of advertising strategies.  This mini unit includes a 22 slide PowerPoint presentation, two student worksheets, and an interactive game to help students review what they have learned.  All game pieces are printable and photos will help guide the assembly.

Here is what the Concentration game looks like.  The font in this PDF is a little different, but this is the main idea.

Here are some tips for putting the game together:
  1. Print and laminate the number cards so they can be reused.
  2. Tape the definitions and terms upside down so when student call out a number, you don't have to remove the number card, you can lift it up and still be able to read it.
